Announces Breakthrough Progress

Milestones Achieved by First Anniversary

WASHINGTON, D.C. (November 10, 2006) – Just one year after a small group of Latino meeting professionals met at a focus group, The NETWORK announces great milestones.

Throughout 2006, The NETWORK received sponsorships from major hotel chains, convention and visitors bureaus, and other suppliers. In addition, The NETWORK has sponsorship commitments through the end of 2007.

The NETWORK, composed of meeting professionals and suppliers working in the hospitality industry, met monthly throughout the Washington, DC area this year. The educational sessions included topics such as developing RFPs to met industry standards, site inspections, contract negotiations, yield management, ethics and a CMP brown bag session.

Keeping with cutting edge technology, The NETWORK partnered with RegOnline to offer online registration, database management and email broadcasting. The launch of the re-designed website brought The NETWORK to a new phase. A month shy of the first anniversary The NETWORK introduced its most innovative communication tool yet, Video Streaming, an all-in-one web-based communications tool featuring fully-integrated streaming video, to communicate with members using a more personalized approach.
